About the Role
Join the House of Commons as a Project Lead (Electrical) and take charge of delivering a wide range of projects across the Parliamentary Estate, from initial scoping through to final handover. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to manage varied and meaningful projects within one of the UK's most iconic and mission-driven environments.
Once project scope is agreed, you will drive progress through all stages including securing stakeholder sign-off, developing business cases, managing design and CDM requirements, procuring contractors, and overseeing installation on site. You will administer contracts, manage costs and changes, lead safety audits, coordinate quality inspections, and ensure smooth commissioning and handovers.
This role also offers opportunities to lead continuous improvement initiatives, run lessons-learned sessions, and occasionally deputise for senior managers, providing both responsibility and real impact at the heart of UK Parliament.

Experience
- Minimum NVQ Level 4 in a construction-related topic or equivalent 5 years’ work experience.
- Knowledge of construction, refurbishment, and conservation project delivery.
- Experience appointing and overseeing external consultants and contractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Demonstrable financial and budget management skills.
- Ability to identify and manage risks, issues, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies.
- Experience planning and organising project documentation, understanding filing structures, and protecting sensitive information.

Qualifications
