The opportunity
University of the Arts London (UAL) is looking for an Academic Recruitment Coordinator to plan, monitor and contribute to the recruitment of students to UAL and Central Saint Martins.
You will advise applicants, undertake interviews and make offers to the most appropriate candidates at all study levels. You will also plan and deliver workshops, give guest lectures and represent UAL and the College when participating in promotional activities in the UK and abroad.
This role involves travel overseas in order to fulfil the role and its responsibilities (up to approx. 10 weeks per year).
About you
With experience of teaching in Further or Higher Education, you will have knowledge of the processes and procedures involved in the recruitment and selection of students, as well as the ability to advise people on the most appropriate course of study for them.
You will have a strong academic background and the ability to communicate ideas clearly and persuasively, explaining complicated matters simply, tailoring delivery methods/media to suit the audience’s needs and understanding. Excellent written and oral communication skills with well-developed cross-cultural sensitivity are essential.
