About the Role
Are you passionate about public access to the countryside? Do you have excellent project management experience, with proven success in leading a small team to deliver countryside services? We seek a dedicated individual to help us conserve and protect Epping Forest alongside a growing number of visitors. Reporting to the Head of Land Agency, you will help implement and deliver strategic access management and visitor mitigation across Epping Forest and its associated Buffer Land. You will promote the use of the Epping Forest Estate through the implementation of the Strategic Access Management and Mitigation Strategy (SAMMS) project, develop sustainable links to neighbouring green spaces and public transport, and promote responsible use of the Forest to ensure the protection of its natural aspect.

Experience
Experience in countryside access and land-based management and conservation. Experience of project management. Experience of stakeholder engagement. Experience of supervising staff and leading volunteer tasks. Experience in frontline visitor service and prioritises customer service excellence. Experience of risk management, including writing risk assessments, to comply with health and safety legislation.

About you
Passionate about championing countryside access. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. IT literate with experience of standard Microsoft packages and database use. Holds a full UK driving licence.

No specific qualifications required, but relevant experience is essential.
