About this role…
We are looking for an Area Manager to join our Operational Management Team to lead our Employment and Skills projects and our Homelessness Prevention service delivery.
You will:
• Support the objectives of Thames Reach to help people who are homeless or vulnerable to find decent homes, build supportive relationships and lead fulfilling lives.
• Be responsible for a range of teams within a functional area which may change. Reporting to the Area Director, they will be a key member of the Operational Management Team and will enable Thames Reach to achieve the highest standards and effectiveness in service delivery to rough sleepers and other vulnerable people needing support.
• Support Thames Reach’s mission through skilled leadership of high quality and effective services. Directly line managing team managers.
• Monitor and improve outcomes, and ensure the improvement of service effectiveness and implementation of best practice.
• Work to secure new business for the organisation, through both competitive tendering and co-production of new services with a range of commissioners.
• Responsible for supervision, development and line management of employees, ensuring high standards of delivery, and best practice is adopted across the teams.
• Optimise the use of resources allocated to the teams, including appropriate and robust financial procedures.
To succeed as the Area Manager, you will have:
• Experience of managing services that works effectively with people with a range of support needs using person centred and outcome based approach. Within budget and meeting targets.
• A demonstrable commitment to providing the highest standards of services for people experiencing homelessness, or other multiple disadvantage.
• Demonstrable experience of managing and leading employees ideally working at different locations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience of successfully managing change processes, ensuring services deliver a strategically relevant service.
• Experience of developing, managing, and sustaining relationships with a wide range of organisations, such as, commissioners and other managers, housing providers, statutory and non-statutory agencies.
