About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Nutrition & Dietetics Team as a Band 5 - Assistant Service Manager. This is the perfect post for an experienced team leader, who is looking to manage a busy department and be responsible for multiple dietetic service areas. The individual must be adaptable, have excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, and possess strong communication and problem-solving abilities. The ability to multitask and use initiative in a busy environment is essential. The post holder will support the Service Manager and Deputy Service Manager to deliver operational targets, monitor performance, and directly line manage a team of administrators.

Requirements

Experience
Significant experience of staff supervision and management including recruitment, retention, appraisal, first line disciplinary, and knowledge of budget management issues. Experience of delivering Administrative and Clerical Outpatient Services. Track record of supporting the management of innovation and service improvements.

About you
Highly motivated with the ability to work independently. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Leadership and influencing skills are essential.

Qualifications
Educated to HNC/Equivalent Diploma/equivalent experience. GCSE Maths & English. Track record of significant continuous professional and management development.
