About this role… Thames Reach’s hostels are transitional spaces where a 24 hour staff team support people to move in, assess their needs, and quickly identify the best place for them to move on to next. Skilled staff teams develop personalised support plans to ensure people are ready to move on and are accessing support with their health, substance misuse, criminal justice and life skills needs. We are looking for an Assistant Support Worker to join the Robertson Street Project. Thames Reach welcomes applications from people with transferable skills. You will: - Undertake various tasks which will assist in the delivery and continued development of the service, under guidance from the line manager, and another staff member. These areas of work will enhance the Assistant Support Worker’s professional development as well as add value to the service provision. -Contribute to Thames Reach achieving the highest standards and effectiveness in service delivery to service users within an operating environment which is complex and changing. - Contribute to the implementation of the team’s aims and objectives, work plans, operational policies, and procedures in such a way that they contribute to the mission of Thames Reach and deliver on business plan objectives. - Support all activities within the team effectively and maintain Thames Reach standards in relation to service users/internal customers and other stakeholders alike. - Support and encourage clients to make positive changes to their lives and become more independent.
