The role
This role sits in the M&E Marketing team and plays a vital role in ensuring that the ITV Brand is clearly & powerfully defined, both internally and externally.,creating a valuable asset that can be effectively leveraged across all touchpoints throughout the business.
The Brand Marketing Executive will support the Head of Brand in all elements of Brand Strategy & Management, including brand architecture, positioning and brand design, as well as ensuring these elements are consistently embedded across the ITV business, shaping the ITV proposition and activities both internally and externally.
The person in this role will need to work closely and collaboratively with our creative and insights teams to develop a clear understanding of the success of all activity on brand growth to shape future plans.
A passion for creativity and effectiveness is key in this role, with a core understanding of brand strategy and using brand to drive business growth.
Main responsibilities
Support the Head of Brand in developing and cascading the brand strategy for ITV
Support with the creation and ongoing review/evolution of distinctive brand assets, ensuring the ITV brand is represented in a modern, impactful way across all touchpoints.
Work with the other marketing, insights and creative teams to ensure all marcomms activity is reflective of our brand positioning and utilises brand assets consistently in a way which builds their strength.
Lead on the briefing and creation all brand reels for awards submissions alongside PR teams
Manage the core ITV branding elements including on-screen idents and relevant creative updates to these inline with cultural and business events
Provide a central point of contact for all teams across ITV for guidance and support relating to the ITV brand, helping to ensure our brand is represented consistently & to a high standard across all and any touchpoints, including the management of the brand portal with ITV Creative
Work with internal communications teams to bring the ‘magic of ITV’ to life for employees through consistent use of group brand and physical manifestations of the ‘magic’
Work with other areas of ITV, growing marketing’s sphere of influence, to ensure that the ITV brand informs the broadest possible range of touchpoints from the overall ‘consumer proposition’, through to product development and employee culture.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
Experience as a marketing professional, ideal experience would be within a Brand remit but not essential
Experience developing and implementing brand plans, including measurement and tracking of brand and brand assets
Evidence of ability to grow stakeholder relationships, able to listen effectively and defend a proposed approach, including the use of data to support rationale.
Evidence of working with creative teams including briefing
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
A true multitasker who has the ability to work to tight deadlines, manage multiple projects & prioritise workload.
Knowledge of the UK TV marketplace and ITV’s position within it, including the latest changes in viewing trends and content discovery.
