As a SportPursuit Buyer, you will initially be focused on new sports and categories, looking to build incremental sales opportunities to enhance spend/member. Areas to focus on will be agreed with the Category Manager and developed through experience and feedback in conjunction with this. Your role will require a two-sided sales approach, selling the benefits of the SP business into the brands, but also selling deals into the teams in order to utilise their merchandising resource to complete sales; amongst others, you should consider: incrementally, potential revenue and margin production, time to build the sale and potential logistics considerations. Ensuring you stay ahead of potential considerations here will undoubtedly aid in the timely completion of sales. We see your role as an exciting opportunity to add significant value to the SP membership with deals and offers they will be eager to buy but are unlikely to have seen before. Surprising and delighting our members is top of the agenda and fulfilling this mission is a precursor to success in the role! This role is UK based, remote-first and suits someone who is genuinely interested in getting stuck in! To be successful in this role you will: Be the market and category expert Understand the competition and why SportPursuit is different and better Working closely with the Category Manager to identify target sectors and product types Research the market and competitors to identify new brands and products within the sectors Foster and manage long-term relationships to understand potential revenue opportunities that could benefit both parties, based on competitive positioning and key & mutual objectives Monitor and manage pricing on your deals and ensure that SportPursuit leads the market in this regard Work closely with other functional teams, in particular Logistics, Customer Service and Accounts to ensure smooth post sale process for both customers and suppliers Update CRM tool following all contacts with brands / suppliers and state specific achievements by meeting or conversation A full job description will be provided upon successful hire.
