The Vacancy Can you motivate church members to activism and inspire them to bring about change? The Methodist Church is seeking to recruit a Campaigns and Church Engagement Officer with a passionate commitment to the Christian call for justice. You will work for the Methodist Church as part of the ecumenical Joint Public Issues Team, which helps the partner Churches (Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Church) plus associate partners, to work together for peace and justice. We do this through listening, learning, praying, speaking and acting on public policy issues. The Campaigns and Church Engagement Officer will help church members across Britain to engage and organise around public issues through communicating about the Joint Public Issues Team’s work on campaigns such as ‘Reset the Debt’, ‘Let’s End Poverty’ and the Churches’ response to the Nationality & Borders Bill.
