Cardiac Clinical Nurse Specialist Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew's Hospital | Cardiac Surgery & Cardiology | Permanent | Full time 37.5 hours per week Competitive salary depending on experience (Equivalent to AFC band 7) As a Cardiac Specialist Nurse, you will be working across our Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery services. You will operate autonomously with an extended and advanced scope of practice, providing clinical leadership and specialist knowledge and skills that enable the delivery of the highest quality, patient care: care that is patient-centred, evidence-based, brand-defining and innovative; delivered in line with organisational, regulatory and governance requirements. You will independently manage your own clinical caseload taking a holistic approach towards care management and delivery, solving complex care dilemmas with dynamic and innovative solutions and leading and developing the service in line with own specialist knowledge and expertise. You will have worked previously as an CNS within in either cardiac surgery or cardiology and be a specialist at a senior level, relevant post-registration experience gained through formal training required to meet registration requirements and demonstrable specialist experience as a subject matter expert. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and you will be able to provide clinical leadership, act as a mentor and role model, manage complex patient care. You will support individuals and teams to deliver safe, high quality and effective patient care that is responsive to the needs of our patients and their families. Along the way, you'll build strong relationships with consultants, hospital senior leaders, a wide range of healthcare professionals and, of course, patients.
