Casual MOW Driver: Our Elmbridge Community Centres promote an active and full life for residents, operating at the heart to their local communities, and offering a vital and attractive range of services with a focus on well-being, social and leisure activities, and providing essential meals on wheels for those who need additional support. We are looking for casual Meals on Wheels drivers to provide vital and welcome support at weekends to older people and other people who need our support by using your own vehicle to collect Meals on Wheels from our Molesey Centre for the Community, and then delivering them in the Weybridge, Walton, Hersham, Cobham, Thames Ditton, Molesey and Claygate area. The role requires an individual who has a friendly and caring attitude, confident in working alone as well as being a team player, and who can communicate effectively with older people and carers. Critically, you will be able to recognise and act appropriately when someone needs help. You will be working with a dedicated team, committed to doing their best for the older and vulnerable people in our community and as such a basic DBS check is required.
