About the Role
IntoUniversity is an award-winning charity running local learning centres in the heart of communities to support young people aged 7-18. Our centres deliver a high-impact education programme including practical learning support, pastoral care, and confidence-building activities. We aim to enable students from disadvantaged neighbourhoods to realise their ambitions and potential.
As Centre Leader, you will be responsible for running one of our IntoUniversity centres in London, managing your team, planning and delivering the education programme, liaising with external stakeholders, and meeting organisational targets.
A substantial part of the role involves delivering the education programme directly to children and young people, including leading classes of up to 30 students, working with small groups, and providing one-to-one support. This is a fast-paced, rewarding role requiring passion and enthusiasm for working with young people.
IntoUniversity supports 56,000 young people annually across 44 centres in England and Scotland, with plans to expand to 50 centres in the coming years.
Experience
Proven experience working with children and young people in an educational or youth-focused setting is essential. Experience managing teams and delivering educational programmes is highly desirable.
About You
You will be passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential and comfortable leading groups and working one-to-one. You thrive in a fast-paced, community-based environment and enjoy building relationships with schools, families, and external partners. Strong organisational and leadership skills are essential.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in education, youth work, or a related field are preferred but not mandatory. A genuine enthusiasm for learning and development, alongside a commitment to the charity’s mission, is crucial.
