We are looking for someone to be an ambassador for the Happy Customer experience from the front door to payment. Expected Starting date: November 2023 WHAT WE OFFER Starting salary from £26,000, based on competence & experience 39 hours per week working 5 days over 7 with every 2nd weekend off. Shifts between the hours of 8am and 10pm with 2 late finishes every week. Availability will de discussed at interview. WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE At IKEA it’s all about our customers, and in Customer Relations we build and retain long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers in a multichannel retail environment. As a Checkout Services Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring a positive and joyful experience for all IKEA visitors and customers: set up services, gather feedback and make things right! You will also contribute to IKEA fulfilling continuous improvement and improved customer satisfaction through delivering daily operational standards and quality of service. Previous experience in leading a team in a retail environment is essential. The ideal candidate will be a people person and a natural problem solver who has a passion for developing long term relationships with our co-workers and customers, while adapting to changing priorities and setting clear expectations for the team. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY Prioritise our customers having a positive payment experience by ensuring the checkout area is in shape as new, co-workers are ready and available to help customers. . Leading a team of 40+ co-workers along with the support of other team leaders. Be available to support the checkout co-workers when they cannot resolve a customer's need, dealing positively and quickly with issues raised by our customers. Understand the importance of accurate stock inventory and coach the checkout co-worker to have this knowledge. Ensure there is the right number of co-workers in the right place at the right time to run the checkout area successfully.
