DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
JOB PURPOSE
To help create & deliver the Client strategy for the Customer group, forging meaningful & long-term relationships with top marketers (and the client facing teams in agencies). Drive preference of C4s proposition & products & diversify revenues across our existing portfolio – generating both new revenue streams & long-term business value for Channel 4.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help devise and execute the client contact strategy for the group, working with agency counterparts to build & deliver a ‘one customer’ approach
Working with the Senior Client Sales Lead to build the client strategy alongside the Business Plan.
Build relationships with top tier clients & decision makers in agencies, increase the volume of client meetings, to create deeper and longer-term relationships. Utilise and work alongside the Commercial Development Lead & agency sales leadership team to create and sell-in commercial partnerships to drive revenue
Generate ‘diversification’ meetings & briefs to better upsell & cross sell clients
Work with the creative hub to answer client led creative briefs and run proactive client sessions to create fresh opportunities
Create the forum for Channel 4 to better understand Clients business and marketing objectives, leading to earlier & better-quality briefs
Support Commercial Marketing in ensuring that there is effective CRM strategy for the agreed list of clients
Work with CM to help deliver events & initiatives across the year that drive engagement
Reporting into the Senior Client Sales Lead
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Self-starter and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy
Have a proven track record in selling to senior blue-chip clients (Marketing Director level) and can demonstrate an understanding of brand planning and marketing communications
Experience of engaging media agency Business Directors/Client Partners
The role requires an understanding of broadcast (spot), digital (VOD) and creative solutions (sponsorship, break innovation, PP and AFP)
Job holder must be a first class presenter, relationship manager and negotiator
Comfortable working in a pressurised, fast-paced and high value environment
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Established senior relationships in both clients and agencies is preferred
Able to flex style and approach to manages key relationships with relevant customers. Comfortable dealing at a variety of levels, from Marketing Directors to Account Managers
Salary
Basic starting salary of £63,875.00 per annum, dependant on experience
