Diageo has embarked on an exciting and significant Business Transformation Programme underpinned by SAP S/4 HANA. Through this programme, Diageo aims to drive process and data standardization and simplification. This programme will be delivered in multiple waves over a multi-year period with global geographic reach.
Diageo is seeking a Voyager Global Communications & Stakeholder Engagement Lead who has proven experience in leading end user focused communications & pro-active stakeholder engagement activities in a fast-paced multi-wave transformation programme environment with a strong ability to translate programme scope, vision, and objectives into an engaging narrative for stakeholders and impacted business communities.
This role owns the Voyager Communications & Stakeholder Engagement strategy and plan to deliver innovative and engaging communications campaigns and stakeholder engagement to inform, inspire and motivate people to successfully make the transition to new systems, processes, behaviours & ways of working. Key accountabilities:
Create and own the Voyager stakeholder engagement and end user communication strategy, ensuring an integrated approach across all waves. Lead Voyager Communications team and third-party service providers to activate strategy and plan; amplify through the Regional teams and the Change Network to deliver adoption outcomes.
Equip programme leadership & the Deployment team to seek out, analyse, monitor & respond to levels of sponsorship across critical stakeholders & groups. Ensure the approach is tracked to identify opportunities & risk to adoption; create & execute comms mitigation plans to course correct / enhance stakeholder sentiment and support for the programme’s needs & outcomes.
Develop multi-wave Voyager narrative, key messages, benefits and communications blueprint to underpin communication activities across cultural, behavioural, process and functional and persona-led viewpoints.
Oversee the development & on-going management and delivery of the Voyager communication schedule and all related activities, to prepare and engage all audience groups for adoption and to mitigate the impact of change on the organization.
Manage third-party service providers in their communications remit and own progress reporting, risk, issues and obstacles removal.
Design and develop content for stakeholder and end user focused engagement (e.g. Regional / Functional leadership meetings, events such as Global Town Halls) to foster strong stakeholder engagement through two-way interactions.
Support Regional teams to effectively localize and cascade Voyager communications to intended markets and business communities. Actively seek input from these and other relevant parties to ensure relevant content and style, etc, maximising cut-through & minimizing re-work.
Leverage the power of data & analytics capabilities to measure the effectiveness of communications e.g message reach, channel effectiveness and take remediation actions as needed.
Collaborate and align with the Voyager Training Team to incorporate key messages on behavioural / cultural changes into learning content, integrate training communications into the communications schedule. Leverage the wider Diageo communications community to achieve goals.
Support the Voyager Programme Leadership Team in performing various activities and producing deliverables for the Voyager programme.
10+ years’ experience in planning and managing communications campaigns and creating content that successfully supports people through change for complex SAP & other technology enabled transformational projects.
Track record of working with or managing third-party providers to steer, input and collaborate to achieve project goals as one team.
5+ years line management & leadership experience
Excellent skills in programme communication content development.
Experience in stakeholder event delivery.
Strong knowledge of corporate communication channels and ability to innovate to generate excitement and increase engagement.
Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills and ability effectively target and tailor the message and medium to various audience groups to achieve intended outcomes.
Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and ability to deliver high-quality communications in compressed timelines.
Degree educated in relevant business or subject (journalism, communications, public relations or marketing).
