We are now looking for an experienced Community Engagement Coordinator (Autism Lead) to join our friendly team.
About the role:
The Community Engagement Coordinator (Autism Lead) will work as part of the Community Hub team to deliver events and activities in a variety of locations across the London boroughs we work in. You will deliver on our charitable aims and commissioned added value commitments.
You will be attending and running activities which also meet our commissioned commitments to social, economic and environmental targets.
Listening to the needs of the people we support and adapting events to their feedback is critical along with developing their voices through feedback forums and the support of governance / trusteeship roles within LDN London.
We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of the needs of people with Learning disability and can work collaboratively to achieve our goals. It is essential that you have experience of working with people with Autism. The ideal candidate will be able to self-motivate and work independently whilst keeping in line with LDN London’s values.
In addition, the post holder will need to have a positive, resilient attitude, be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and will be flexible and adaptable. A strong team player is essential to our team. It is critical that you can reach out to new people and partners/supporters and can widen our network.

About you:
The ideal candidate will be a well organised person with the ability to deliver successful outcomes for our service users. You will be confident networker and relationship builder with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The successful candidate should:
be educated to GCSE including English & Maths (Grade A-C) or equivalent.
have previous experience in running groups and be able to work under pressure
be computer literate (including MS Word and Outlook mobile platforms)
experience of working with sensitive and confidential data
have excellent communication skills – verbal, written and listening
be able to build appropriate professional, friendly and accessible relationships with people.
excellent attention to detail, highly accurate and thorough
have a good understanding of possible safeguarding risks for people in a supported living setting
