We are looking for an experienced Community Safety Lead to encourage compliance with tenancy terms and conditions across Gateways housing stock, by taking appropriate enforcement action to deal with all breaches of tenancy including complex nuisance, fraud and anti-social behaviour. You will develop relationships and liaise with appropriate agencies and other departments, leading the response on serious or complex cases, pursuing legal remedies where necessary or utilising mediation techniques to resolve problems where appropriate. Your accountabilities will include but not be limited to: To perform a lead role in relation to anti-social behaviour, sub-letting, and fraud. To support the Housing Officers in the management of complex and high level anti-social behaviour and tenancy fraud cases. To take the lead, and work with the relevant partners, in obtaining Civil Injunctions, Criminal Behaviour orders and Premises Closure Orders, and other tools to resolve identified ASB issues. Building effective professional relationships with internal and external partners to tackle and prevent ASB and tenancy fraud To provide guidance and support on all aspects of ASB and fraud to residents, in relation to their tenancy and lease agreement and relevant policy and procedures. To assist the Customer Resolutions Team, Resident Services Specialists and other teams as appropriate in dealing with ASB complaints, as received through the Association's Complaints Policy and Procedure. Undertake investigations and enforcement action where necessary to ensure that the terms of the tenancy agreement are complied with in accordance with Gateway Housing Policy and procedure service. Monitor and enforce ASB interventions and tenancy fraud on behalf of Gateway Housing. To carry out regular case reviews with the Resident Services Specialists to ensure the allocated casework is being managed effectively. To manage cases by gathering evidence, working with internal and external agencies, preparing cases for Court, obtaining statements from witnesses, attending Court and supporting witnesses throughout the enforcement process. To participate in the development and implementation of strategies to combat nuisance and anti-social behaviour and review their effectiveness. Experience, Qualifications and Key Skills: Educated to A Level standard or equivalent NVQ or BTEC. Experience of antisocial behaviour and tenancy fraud in a social housing context. Experience of investigative interviewing, for fraud and/or ASB. Experience of preparing and presenting cases at court. Knowledge and understanding of Data Protection and how it applies in investigation work. Detailed knowledge of housing, tenancy fraud, and anti-social behaviour related legislation and best practice. Confident and able to challenge in a positive and constructive manner. Customer focussed.
