£48,557 - £57,928 per annum plus London Premium of £4,201
Plus up to 10% bonus

About the Role
Teesside University London is in its third year of operation and growing rapidly. We are seeking an enthusiastic Computer Science Lead to join our collaborative and vibrant academic community.

In this role, you will inspire Computing students through your expertise in one or more of the following areas: Software Development and Engineering, Usability Design, Cyber Security, and Data Science. You will lead and deliver innovative, engaging, and effective teaching, contribute to curriculum design and assessment, provide pastoral support, supervise projects, and engage in professional development and business engagement activities.

Your responsibilities will also include people management, programme and module leadership, producing appropriate documentation, and collaborating with colleagues to disseminate best practices. You will apply creativity, innovation, and subject expertise to deliver an outstanding student learning experience.

Requirements

Experience
Proven knowledge and experience in designing and delivering effective teaching and assessment at undergraduate and postgraduate levels using diverse approaches. Experience in leadership and management of academic colleagues is essential. Demonstrable ability to exercise initiative, creativity, and judgement in teaching, learning, research, and scholarly activities.

Expertise in one or more Computing disciplines such as Software Development and Engineering, Usability Design, Cyber Security, or Data Science is required. Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business partners.

About you
Enthusiastic academic professional with exceptional oral and written communication skills and strong IT skills to produce effective teaching materials and engage students. Ability to provide pastoral support and contribute to student retention. Motivated to work in a collaborative and innovative environment, committed to delivering a high-quality student experience.

Qualifications
PhD in a relevant discipline is essential. Qualified to master’s level or holding extensive professional expertise/advanced practitioner status. The role may qualify for University sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route due to UKVI salary thresholds.
