What will a day in the life of a Content Designer involve?
Creating content that aligns with our strategy and principles, informed by user behaviour, analytics/performance data, and service user needs.
Conducting user research to understand user needs, advising colleagues on creating content based on rational user journeys and organizational goals.
Defining how our content could be best organised, ensuring clarity in conveying complex information.
Writing and editing content for our website, ensuring adherence to tone, style, accessibility, and user experience
Engaging effectively with stakeholders, proactively addressing challenges and ensuring consensus, in the presence of opposing views.
Working with other designers such as the service designer and user researcher in our team to develop engaging content for a seamless user experience.
Writing and editing content for our digital and non-digital work, ensuring adherence to tone, style, accessibility, and user experience.
To be a successful Content Designer, what will you need?
Demonstrated expertise and passion for web accessibility, content design, and UX principles.
Proficient in rapid prototyping and selecting appropriate tools/methods.
Exceptional writing and copy-editing skills.
Hands-on experience in user research and testing.
Previous content role experience within a digital team.
Effective collaboration in multi-disciplinary teams using agile methodologies.
Proven track record in designing user-centric content, simplifying complex language and processes.
