Salary paying up to £35,000 per annum. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced copywriter to bring our brand to life. You will play an integral role in conceptualising new, insight-led campaigns, before creating campaign execution copy for channels such as email, direct mail and retail. You will be crafting copy for our packaging, website product descriptions, collateral for our Caribbean paradise and cacao farm, and messaging for our innovative VelvetiserTM in-home drinking chocolate system. Through developing a deep understanding of our customers and their behaviour, you’ll be able to craft copy that engages, raises a smile and sells, while adhering to our sophisticated brand tone of voice. Here at Hotel Chocolat, we've adopted hybrid working. This means you’ll join us on site for three days a week at our Design Studio in London’s Aldgate. The other 2 days can be spent working from wherever you choose, either on-site, remotely or from home. What you’ll be doing…. Collaborating with the Design Team to conceptualise marketing campaigns that are led by human insights related to chocolate. Producing high-engagement and error-free content spanning multiple marketing channels that reflects our brand voice and adheres to our style guidelines. Managing multiple projects with short deadlines in a rapidly changing, commercial environment. Collaborating with Design, Marketing and Digital to develop a variety of marketing materials. Collaborating with Trading, Cocoa Innovation, Technical, Pack Tech and Marketing to develop a range of product/packaging copy and materials. Interpreting creative direction and adapting points from creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts. Proposing copy concepts and presenting underlying thinking to business stakeholders. Identifying and recommending opportunities to develop our brand storytelling across all customer touchpoints. Acting as a brand guardian. Who You Are… Essential Insight-led, creative copywriting skills, with demonstrable experience in a B2C brand working on campaign copy and packaging (client or agency side). Experience crafting copy for a luxury brand or within the food industry. Experience working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Desirable Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing or communications. Experienced working with design teams to co-create marketing materials or campaigns. Experienced writing digital copy for websites to drive a brand’s SEO. Who are we?
