Job Title: Corporate Development Manager Salary: £51,150 - £60,504 Contract: 12 months Fixed-term contract (maternity cover); Full time 35 hours per week (open to talk about flexible working) Location: London, Hybrid Closing date: 10 am 29 January 2024 About the role The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RCOG) plays a leading role in improving women’s healthcare across the world. As the Corporate Development Manager, you will be working with the Business Development Director on securing sponsorships, business partnerships and other commercial income that will support the work of the College. This is an exciting time to join, as there is an opportunity to contribute to and initiate the implementation of a long-term commercial and fundraising strategy. In this role, you will have direct responsibilities, including: • Delivering sponsorship and commercial income for our upcoming annual congresses in Oman (October 2024) and London (2025) • Managing exhibition and sponsorship sales for a wide range of virtual, hybrid and in-person RCOG events • Securing and developing advertising income and opportunities • Growing our business and commercial contacts by securing new partnerships • Managing our existing corporate relationships and partnerships. About you If you are a self-motivated and proactive individual who is skilled in selling and negotiating event and conference exhibitions, sponsorships and partnerships, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for someone who is customer focused and possesses the following skills and capabilities: • skilled in developing compelling proposals and pitches to potential corporate sponsors and partners • confident account manager with a track record of cultivating and maintaining productive partnerships and relationships • strong networker with effective negotiation and communications skills • results-driven, able to achieve sales and income targets with a proactive and determined approach. This position is well-suited to a forward-thinking professional in business development, events, or sponsorship, looking to grow and develop their career, and who is looking to gain experience in strategy development.
