The role – Data Engineer
As Data Engineer you will join our Data and Technology team and help us deliver data-driven services and solutions for our customers and stakeholders
What you’ll do
You will
Developing and maintaining data pipelines, databases, and data warehouse using SQL, Python, and Azure
Designing and implementing data models, schemas, and ETL processes to ensure data quality and integrity
Creating and delivering data visualisations and reports using Power BI and other tools
Supporting data analysis and business intelligence activities across the organisation
Collaborating with other data and technology professionals and business users to understand and meet their data needs
Skills and experience we'd like you to have
We’re looking for someone who has:
A degree in computer science, data science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Experience in data engineering or a similar role
A solid background working with SQL, using modern data tools (such as dbt and databricks). Experience using or an appetite to learn dbt. Some exposure to Azure, Fivetran and Power BI would be beneficial
Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Azure data services
Experience with Power BI or other data visualisation tools
Knowledge of data modelling, data quality, and data governance best practices
A passion for social housing and a commitment to Origin Housing’s values and vision
