The role As a Delivery and Collection Driver, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. In this role you will play a pivotal part in supporting the London Fire Brigade (LFB) keeping our country safe. Day to day, you'll provide a reliable, efficient, and courteous collection and delivery service on behalf of our customer. Collecting and delivering appliances, operational equipment, and consumable items on behalf of the London Fire Brigade. The role will include movement of all types of vehicles utilised by the LFB, to and from various locations within the LFB operating centres at approximately 102 locations and all LFB related Babcock Sites. Provide a prompt, professional and efficient collection and delivery service that delivers customer satisfaction in line with company targets and standards Ensure vehicles are collected and delivered on time and presented to a standard acceptable to the customer Complete all paperwork and processes accurately and thoroughly in line with Company requirement. Attend and participate in such training courses as deemed necessary This is a full-time, on-site position in Ruislip, requiring 40 hours per week. Typical work schedule: Tuesday - Saturday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM On-call rotation: 1 in every 5 weeks (7 days) On-call details: Hours: 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM, followed by overnight on-call status Compensation: £32.08 on-call shift allowance per day, plus overtime pay for hours exceeding the contract. Essential experience of the Delivery and Collection Driver: Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and the Road Traffic Act Good knowledge of Greater London postcode areas Previous collection and delivery experience Qualifications for the Delivery and Collection Driver: Category C / Class 2- licence Driver CPC Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
