About the Role
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for a college region, overseeing safeguarding issues affecting children and vulnerable adults. You will provide expert guidance and support to students and staff, engage with families to ensure their wellbeing, liaise closely with the Local Authority, and collaborate with external agencies to safeguard all individuals within the college community. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all safeguarding activities is a key responsibility, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in safeguarding roles, preferably within education or social care settings.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, guidance, and best practices.
- Experience working with children and vulnerable adults and managing complex safeguarding concerns.

Qualifications
- Relevant safeguarding training and qualifications (e.g. DSL certification) are essential.
