In this role you will be working across both the Learning and Development (L&D) and Talent teams, supporting them with a number of activities associated with development opportunities. You will be responsible for delivering an efficient and accurate administration service to both teams.

Our Corporate office is situated 5 minutes from Southwark station you will have easy access to the vibrant South Bank and local amenities, however this role will be a mixture of working in the Corporate office (at least 1 days a week), from home and attending other sites.

The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact all activities relating to people Development and to support the upkeep of the Learning Management System (LMS)
Main duties of the job
Responsible for a wide variety of administrative activities from managing shared mailboxes across both teams and maintaining key documents (e.g. Development calendars and Talent tracker) to taking minutes and organising assessment days and interviews for some of our Talent programmes. Working closely with the Learning and Development Manager and Head of Talent.

Both the Development teams are expected to communicate to colleagues regularly and effectively within the departments across Synnovis Services, Analytics & Group and the wider Synlab Group.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Providing admin support for the Learning & Development and Talent Teams
Act as first reference point of contact for all Development enquiries
Ownership of departmental mailboxes ensuring emails are responded to in a timely manner and escalated where appropriate.
Working independently on Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and digital platforms
Ensure that effective Learning and Development and Talent processes are developed, improved, and maintained.
Maintain and develop the Learning Management System (LMS)
Maintaining Talent Tracker with starters/ leavers/ movers and generating quarterly activity report
Supporting Apprenticeship programme administration
Maintaining Laboratory Accreditation Database
Undertake the preparation and circulation of course materials and collateral for related training purposes.
Providing administrative support for Grow our Own Initiatives such as the Graduate Training Programme.
Manage the training and talent calendars.
Manage the compliance requirements and reporting for Synnovis statutory/mandatory training.
Assist in the coordination of the evaluation process and collate feedback reports from the LMS.
Maintain and report on the annual and half yearly employee appraisal process.
Update and maintain Development Synfo pages (intranet)
Support L&D and Talent communication channels
Regular attendance at daily/weekly update meetings.
To ensure that all Development records are maintained.
Getting involved with ad-hoc projects.
Contribute to the central HR team, its objectives and strategy.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
Educated to good GCSE level in English, Mathematics, and IT.
Desirable criteria
Business Admin NVQ level 3 or equivalent within a HR Dept
Experience
Essential criteria
Experience of working with Learning Management Systems
Proficient at Microsoft packages
Experience of co-ordinating different processes and managing priorities to meet tight deadlines.
Desirable criteria
Experience of working heath sector
Experience within a Learning and Development or HR Environment.
Previous experience of working with confidential, sensitive data
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
Must have strong demonstrable skills using Microsoft packages (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and digital platforms)
