About the Role
The Directorate Administrator will provide comprehensive administrative support to a senior member of the Education and Student Experience Directorate and other leaders as directed. Key responsibilities include managing diaries, scheduling directorate-level activities, and ensuring accurate recording of budgetary spend and staffing information. The role also involves supporting business requirements such as reviewing risk registers, data retention schedules, and business continuity plans. Additional duties include purchasing resources, consumables, travel, and development needs while maintaining accurate records of expenditure. The administrator will support a broad range of HR activities from recruitment through to probation conclusion and staff absence management. They will assist learning and teaching through reporting and information collation, help organize large events such as the Learning and Teaching conference, process room booking requests, and contribute to university-wide events including induction, welcome, and graduation. The role requires flexibility to undertake other activities as requested by the Education and Student Experience leadership team.
Experience
- Proven administrative experience supporting senior leaders or teams
- Experience managing diaries, scheduling meetings, and minute-taking
- Familiarity with budget monitoring and purchasing processes
- Experience supporting HR processes and event organization is desirable

Qualifications
