About the Role
As an Employee Relations Advisor at United Response, a leading national charity, you will be part of the People team working closely with operations to ensure a cohesive approach to HR management. You will provide expert advice and support to operational managers on a wide range of employee relations matters including probation, performance management, capability, conduct, conflict management, data subject access requests, investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes, whistleblowing, and safeguarding issues.
You will collaborate with the People Business Partner to develop and support proactive HR strategies such as training needs analysis and improving key performance indicators including absence, turnover, and case resolution times. Additionally, you will ensure company policies remain up-to-date and compliant with current employment law.

Experience
- Proven experience in case management including disciplinary and grievance investigations, performance management, and managing long and short-term absence.
- Experience handling capability and compliance investigations.
- Good working knowledge of employment law.
- Ability to coach and encourage managers to make informed decisions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain processes and advice.
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills.
- Commercially and strategically aware with a strong customer focus.
About you
You are adaptable and pragmatic, confident in presenting cases based on law or principle when necessary. You are motivated by making a difference and thrive in a collaborative environment aligned with shared goals and values.
Qualifications
Working towards CIPD or Cilex legal qualifications is desirable but not essential.
