Grade / Salary - ME13 - £45,021 - £48,060 per annum inclusive Advert Text This is a great opportunity to join London Borough of Merton and its friendly and committed energy team. The post holder will join a small team of energy officers who are working to lower the council’s carbon emissions and improve the energy efficiency of its buildings. We’re looking for a candidate who genuinely wants to impact carbon emissions and who is keen to help our borough meet our Climate Emergency Goals. You will need experience of managing a complex and diverse portfolio of projects, with conflicting and demanding deadlines; and you will need education or experience covering the energy management or sustainability fields. You will also need to be a team player, working with internal and external stakeholders across multiple projects and working closely with the other members of the energy and facilities teams. This is a vital role in a small team and offers opportunities for the right candidate to start their own projects and make a real impact on the work of the London Borough of Merton. The role benefits from hybrid working with at least 3 days a week at the Civic Centre in Morden, and other days available for working from home or other council buildings. You will be required to visit council sites and you may be required to work at other locations in the borough from time to time. The Civic Centre is very close to Morden Underground Station which is on the Northern Line.
