Location: London/Bristol - employees are able to work from home on an arrangement agreed with their line manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen at the National Housing Federation (NHF) for an Events Organiser. The role will join a busy operations team to co-ordinate the planning and delivery of a range of commercial conferences across England for numbers ranging from 200-1300 attendees in virtual, hybrid and in-person formats. Our events provide housing leaders with the guidance, information and inspiration they need to deliver great services for their residents and communities.
You will be working as part of a friendly team who are focused and driven to deliver amazing events. We are looking for someone who can drive projects forward, juggle conflicting priorities and deliver memorable event experiences, whatever the event format, for our delegates.
The NHF is the voice of housing associations in England. We are the trade body to almost 600 housing associations, who have grown from philanthropic roots to provide 2.6 million homes to around 6 million people. Key elements of the role:
- Collaborating across the event teams and with stakeholders to ensure flawless delivery of first class events in line with NHF standards
- Ensuring project based budgets are maintained, costs are controlled with suppliers and negotiated without compromising quality
- In collaboration with conference producers, offering comprehensive support to speakers and optimising their event experience.
- Coordinating all onsite and virtual event activities including staff, speakers, virtual platforms, venues and onsite contractors
- Analysing and report against event performance and make recommendations for future events
The successful candidate:
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of organising conferences from an operational perspective
- Experience of managing project based budgets
- Experience of procuring event products and services and manage those relationships to meet our quality standards
- An understanding of virtual, hybrid and in-person events and delivering memorable experiences.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
