The Vacancy We are seeking a Finance Officer to join the purchase ledger function of our Finance team. Your Qualities: Good attention to detail and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, and others, including volunteers, throughout the Methodist Church First class organisational and administrative skills and systematic approach to work Ability to deliver to set deadlines Able to remain calm under pressure and be tactful in difficult or sensitive situations Honesty, integrity, resilience and professionalism Key duties include: Process supplier invoices, payment requests, committee and staff expenses Answer customer and supplier queries about invoices and payments Prepare the weekly supplier payment run for review by the Purchase ledger Supervisor Prepare bank reconciliations, promptly resolving any outstanding items Prepare and post cashbook journals to the nominal ledger and reconcile purchase ledger control accounts The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of the purchase ledger function within a complex organisation.
