Role Description Low Carbon is embarking upon an ambitious and exciting programme of transformation to transition from a Developer to an Independent Power Producer. Part of this change is to build a new finance target operating model consisting of a Low Carbon Finance Services (LCFS) team in London. This team will be at the centre of delivering innovative and effective processes as we grow into large-scale renewable energy company. The Service Manager will report into the Head of Finance Operations and help to support the inception of LCFS, steering the organisation through a period of high growth to maturity. The role will be responsible for the creation and execution of a service management framework and also supporting the development of efficient, scalable transactional processes across Accounts Receivable and Account Payable. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement, making use of lean process thinking and automation, whilst working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver complex and wide-ranging changes impacting people, process and technology. Key Responsibilities Service Management Create and maintain a service management framework, detailed key performance metrics and performance governance processes Define Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure they follow best practices and maintain performance against the SLAs Develop ticketing system to manage and coordinate service requests Monitor performance issue and drive problem management and service improvement plans Ensure customer/business, client, support and technical parties are represented in the definition and evolution of services Maintain customer relationships both inside and outside of Low Carbon Process and Continuous Improvement Act as process expert for transactional processes, providing advice and guidance on best practices Develop and map best-in-class end to end transaction processes, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Evaluate end to end process performance, managing and publishing operational reporting Work with Managers to create delivery plans containing opportunities for improvement, coordinating relevant parties to develop and deliver them Keep track of ongoing efficiencies within process delivery, maximising the use of automation Continues to identify, prioritise, and implement process improvement and cost reduction opportunities to achieve “world-class” performance Proactively gather knowledge of best practice and new initiatives watching the external market and proposes and delivers new and improved solutions Ensure country and group accounting standards and being followed (IFRS or equivalent, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and applicable government regulations and adhere with Low Carbon policies and standards Person Specification A friendly, approachable and professional manner Adapts to changing objectives and priorities to deliver results An excellent communicator who builds trusted relationships with people at all levels Energetic, reliable, adaptable and used to using their initiative Highly organised, great attention to detail and a focus on getting things done Be an enthusiastic and committed team player with a ‘hands on approach’ to problem solving Willingness to work flexibly across geographic time zones during peak periods such as period end Skills & Experience Degree level education in Accounting/Business Administration or equivalent Project management i.e., Prince 2/PMP Business process improvement methodologies i.e., Six Sigma or LEAN Experience of service performance management Experience working within a Global Business Services (GBS) or shared services environment preferred Methodical approach which allows delivery of key priorities within a strict timetable Strong analytical skills and ability to identify trends and potential issues Initiative and enthusiasm to complete tasks and resolve issues where conflicting priorities may arise Knowledge of the following languages desirable: German, Polish, Swedish, Finnish, French, Spanish, Romanian, Dutch Our Compensation & Benefits 26 days holiday plus your birthday off (with option to buy a further 5 days) Discretionary Bonus Annual Bupa Health Check Private Healthcare for you and your family (medical history disregarded) Contributory Pension EV Car scheme Cycle scheme Season Ticket Loan Pluxee for commercial discounts and perks 3 additional days for volunteering to support causes of your choice £50 credit per month towards short notice childcare, eldercare and pet care via ‘Bubble’
