Role Description
Low Carbon is building Finance Centres of Expertise (CoE) in London. These teams are being setup to house specialist skills, with highly talented individuals that will support the whole of Low Carbon. The team will have deep knowledge of our business and sector to drive meaningful insights across the company.
The Financial Modelling and Analytics Manager, CoE will report to the Head of FP&A CoE, supporting the delivery of high quality Financial Planning & Analysis services to Low Carbon, enabling both Group Finance and Commercial Finance Directors.
The person in this role will work with internal and external stakeholders, including Group FP&A, Commercial Finance Directors and stakeholders in our lines of business, to ensure processes are performed in accordance with performance and quality standards by delivering on commitments to Finance stakeholders and the wider Low Carbon organisation.
The job holder will also be responsible for supporting the establishment of the new FP&A CoE working alongside transformation teams to embed activities into business as usual.
Key Responsibilities
Develop templates and standard reports and analysis in support of monthly, quarterly, annual performance management processes
Create, standardise and execute financial models to support decision making and support valuations process for each line of business
Support the development of and management of the opex, capex and devex plan
Apply Group guidelines and knowledge of lines of business to develop the budgets and forecasts, as well as model iterations of the budget/forecast based on changes to key drivers
Prepare insightful market analysis, highlighting key areas of opportunity and risk
Responsible for the consolidation of key business key performance indicators (KPIs)
Support the preparation and review of month end reporting packs, management reports, and other ad-hoc reports
Support Commercial Finance Directors with the preparation of management reporting for local management, including commentary to explain performance and variances and attend meetings where appropriate
Conducting variance analysis of actuals against budget and prior year numbers
Supporting Finance Team in cost analysis and investment decision making process
Maintain close relationships with customer/stakeholder groups to ensure responsiveness to their needs and escalation to resolution of internal performance problems
Develop sound professional working relationships with colleagues across Low Carbon, building their confidence and acquiring an understanding of the business

Skills & Experience
Demonstrable experience and skilled expertise in building high quality financial models
Demonstrable experience in FP&A or business modelling & analysis related functions
Ability to manage a number of activities with multiple stakeholders
Ability to work effectively with senior management across all functional areas
Excellent verbal / written communication and presentation skills
Ability to analyse complex problems, identify proactive solutions and implement change in a team-oriented environment
Detailed Financial data, systems, process and governance knowledge
Proven ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement relating to processes and operational performance across organisations to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction
Experience with SQL and Python is desirable but not essential
