Founders Factory's latest concept in the Mission Studio (backed by Nesta) is Ogma. The Opportunity: Ogma is harnessing the power of AI to revolutionise speech and language therapy for families. We are a Founders Factory x Nesta Mission Studio venture. 20% of children have speech and language needs. These children start school behind their peers and, by adulthood, are twice as likely to experience mental health difficulties and twice as likely to be unemployed. However, the NHS is backlogged, and most families can’t afford the £1k+ price tag of private therapy. Children are not getting the support they need. Our vision is that all children can afford to have a Speech and Language therapist sitting with them, in their home, providing exactly the right kind of support they need. We see an opportunity to use advances in AI, LLM and Conversational AI to disrupt the status quo of speech therapy by driving efficiency and efficacy, reducing cost and increasing access. We will deliver a high value, high impact service for less whilst (i) generating a rare dataset (that currently does not exist) and (ii) developing an AI engine that provides a unique competitive advantage to be the market leader in AI-assisted speech therapy for children. Within just 3 months we built our first product (the Ogma Assistant), with an NHS launch in the pipeline for April 2024. We’re now focusing on scaling that product, building out our proprietary dataset, and building a game-changing AI engine which will revolutionise Speech and Language therapy through our D2C proposition, Ogma Therapy. 💪 What we are looking for: An exceptional self-starter who wants to get first-hand experience of building a VC-backed impact venture from 0 to 1. You will need to be confident working independently and getting your hands dirty working across the business. You’re someone who always exceeds expectations, learns fast, and is very comfortable rolling up your sleeves and digging in.
