This role is for someone who loves design, has an eye for detail and enjoys getting stuff done. We’re looking for a creative and organised manager who enjoys working with a wide variety of colleagues and contractors. Previous experience of working in a museum, gallery or a design environment is preferred but you do not need to have any specific qualifications. We are looking for someone who has an eye for design, has experience managing budgets, and is a collaborative and creative problem solver. For this role we welcome discussion on the possibility of flexible working arrangements at interview stage, such as compressed hours, flexibility with start and finish times or job share to accommodate part-time working. The role requires occasional out of hours work, before or after museum opening hours, to supervise contractors and works that can only take place when the museum is closed to the public. The role will also include some home working part of the week, in line with the museum’s Blended Working Framework.
