About the role We have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Cleaner and Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our Estate Services team working in Chelsea. You will be working 35 hours (Monday to Friday) from 8am-4pm. Reporting to the Estate Services Officer, you will be responsible for providing grounds maintenance work such as maintaining the external garden/car park/bin store areas etc. Previous experience of grounds maintenance and some cleaning would be preferred but not essential. Some of the key duties involved are: Cleaning the internal communal areas including lifts, corridors (mopping dusting and vacuuming). Bin store/bulk waste management. Litter picking. External grounds maintenance (Hedge trimming, grass cutting, weed and moss control etc.) Customer interaction. About you: We are looking for someone who has good customer service skills, you will be working as part of a team at times as well as your own. A UK driving licence would be preferred, but not essential. You will also be able to demonstrate the following essential skills: Proven experience of achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. Ability to carry out physical tasks within Health and Safety guidelines. Able to work effectively within a team. Ability to use all equipment safely and effectively. Ability to work effectively without high levels of supervision. Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation, including COSHH and PPE. Essential Skills & Experience: Good customer service skills. Desirable: Previous cleaning and grounds experience. This job offers a £1,000 welcome bonus which is payable in two parts. £500 in your first month’s salary and £500 when you pass your probation.
