The team Based in our Community and Renewable Energy team, the role will work on a transformative major grant scheme supporting non-profit organisations across England, Scotland, and Wales. The focus of the scheme is to help people struggling with their energy bills, reduce carbon emissions and stimulate innovation on energy issues. You will be part of a collaborative, inclusive and supportive team working together to help grant funding achieve the maximum positive impact to address the cost of living and climate crises. The role This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference for people struggling to get by, as well as tackling climate change. You will oversee operation of systems and processes to allocate and distribute funds on major grant schemes, including delegation of tasks and programme planning. This will include identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes and managing change to deliver those improvements. This work will be focused on the £200 million Energy Redress Scheme but could involve work on other programmes. What you’ll do Oversee delivery of processes for allocation of grant funds including assessment of applications and updates to guidance for applicants. Oversee delivery of processes for distribution of allocated grant funds including the cycle of checking and paying grant claims and adherence to scheme rules. Own and manage key programme management documents such as risk registers and delivery plans. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and systems, including digital tools written guidance and team practices to deliver efficiencies and improved outcomes from the scheme. Lead or carry out change management of approved changes to scheme processes (e.g. updates to scheme guidance and rules, or revisions to processes for checks and due diligence). Carry out due diligence checks and sign-off of grant claims and grant agreements as required. What you’ll bring Experience in project and/or process management. Demonstrable experience in change management. Understanding of process design applicable to grant funding schemes. Ability to work positively in a team environment including ability to manage and motivate staff. Experience of dealing sensitively with complex issues and balancing differing needs.
