About the Role
Join Synnovis, the UK’s leading and fastest growing pathology company, as the Head of Direct Procurement. In this pivotal role, you will lead and contribute to delivering a strategic procurement service across various sourcing categories. You will ensure contract compliance, sustainable cost improvements, and the delivery of associated benefits. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the Direct Procurement portfolio, managing a third-party spend of £23M, and driving sourcing initiatives to meet savings targets. You will work closely with SYNLAB’s Executive Team and Clinical leads to support the transformation programme across the UK portfolio.

Experience
Essential criteria include experience in a category management role or sales function within a private sector organisation, experience of analysing complex data, and proven management and team leadership capabilities. Desirable criteria include extensive experience in a leadership role within the Procurement function.

About You
You possess well-developed negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to anticipate risks and proactively identify value-add opportunities. You have a successful track record in sourcing project leadership and are capable of challenging suppliers or stakeholders to drive change. Healthcare Procurement and Pathology Sector experience is desirable.

Qualifications
Essential criteria include a degree or equivalent, with CIPS qualification being desirable.
