About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) professional to join Phoenix Futures – a leading national charity that helps people overcome substance use. As our HSE Standards Manager, you’ll be our go-to expert on health, safety and environmental compliance across the organisation. You’ll lead on the effective development, implementation and management of all environmental and workplace health and safety standards and functions. Your responsibilities will include acting as our Competent Person for HSE advice and compliance, monitoring and ensuring we meet all regulatory and legislative requirements in respect of HSE, being the lead liaison with health and safety authorities on matters of compliance, monitoring and auditing HSE performance, overseeing the fire risk management process, and developing and delivering HSE training and guidance to colleagues in relation to health and safety procedures.
Experience
Strong experience (5+ years) in occupational health & safety, ideally in healthcare or residential settings.
About you
A NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and Chartered IOSH Membership (or working towards it), a NEBOSH Certificate in Fire, and an Environmental qualification. A proven track record in implementing Health, Safety & Environmental Management Systems, including Emergency Planning and Business Continuity. Ability to design and deliver effective training, including IOSH courses.
