About the Role
As our Health, Safety & Environmental Manager, you will advise on statutory compliance of all relevant operational activities, ensuring current procedures and systems within the business comply with relevant policy, legislation, and industry best practice. You will work closely with projects and business hubs promoting a positive and proactive approach to HSE management, providing technical expertise, mentoring, and educating the business on regulatory compliance obligations and adherence to our ISO management system. This includes carrying out regular audits and inspections.

You will lead workplace accident and incident investigations, produce factual, clear, and concise reports, and ensure best practice prevails throughout the Region’s activities. This role requires a hands-on approach and strong leadership to build relationships and influence at all levels of the business to deliver a strong HSE culture. Note that this position does not offer hybrid working and requires presence at the main office.

Requirements

Experience
- Background in Social Housing and Repair and Maintenance or Facilities Management.
- Hands-on, relevant industry experience and knowledge of the construction, repairs, or facilities management sector.
- Strong track record of managing multi-site workforces.

About you
- Positive and proactive approach to HSE management.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at different levels.
- Good communication skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Good level of written English and computer skills.
- Must hold a valid full or automatic UK driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months.
- Must be able to work from the main office located at Maida Vale with no hybrid working option.

Qualifications
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate is required as a minimum.
- Ideally working towards NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
