Are you a dedicated nurse seeking a rewarding opportunity in a dynamic drug and alcohol service? The Role Join our nursing team as a key member of a multidisciplinary group of clinicians and recovery practitioners within our adult drug and alcohol service. Your role will be diverse and impactful, including: • Supporting the micro-elimination of Hepatitis C within our service. • Collaborating with hospital alcohol liaison programs. • Conducting comprehensive health and wellbeing assessments. • Assisting with community-based alcohol detoxification. • Administering Buvidal. You will be a passionate and professional nurse with the following qualities: • A collaborative team player committed to improving outcomes and reducing health inequalities for vulnerable and complex individuals. • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with both clinical and non-clinical colleagues, as well as community partners. • A solid understanding of CQC standards and a commitment to high-quality service provision. • Experience in the drug and alcohol sector is not essential. If you are motivated to develop your skills in this area, we offer comprehensive training and support. The Service Via Kingston is an established, integrated community service in the Borough, combining clinical and psychosocial care. Our CQC-registered service offers a broad range of interventions, including, Blood-borne virus (BBV) and health interventions, Opiate substitution therapy (OST) prescribing, Alcohol Support Treatment, Community detox programs, recovery groups, service user involvement activities, and peer mentor activities. Location This role is primarily based at the Kingston Wellbeing Service in Surbiton, with some travel required for external meetings and satellite locations within the borough, as well as other Via locations as needed. Our standard service hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with occasional evening clinics on a rotational basis.
