Hourly Paid Lecturer in ESOL and Employability £37.21 (including holiday pay) – Tutor Rate £31.41 per hour (including holiday pay) – Teaching Rate £24.06 per hour (including holiday pay) – Additional Duties Rates Part Time, Fixed Term We are seeking ambitious, outstanding candidates to join our teaching staff at United Colleges Group. Our Business Development Department is responsible for the management and delivery of a range of provisions: Apprenticeships, Employment and Skills Provision: English for Work, Digital Skills, Essential Digital Skills, Functional Skills, Short Training courses and adult education programmes. We now need someone to join our Business Development Team to teach and cover ESOL and employability lessons to our English for Work learners. You will also support the delivery of Functional skills maths at entry level and actively participate in the activities of the course/programme teams. We pride ourselves on enabling our learners to meet their individual needs and aspirations and we deliver a learning experience that is unique, enjoyable and rewarding. About you The successful candidate needs to have a subject specific qualification – CELTA (preferred) or TESOL qualification, should have a degree (or equivalent) in a related area and qualification and/or experience in delivering employability skills. They will have experience of working with ESOL learners and understanding the needs and challenges experienced by this group of learners. They will also be able to tutor and manage learner groups, have sound organisational skills and be acle to work cooperatively and contribute positively and creatively to a team is also essential. You will also possess a recognised Level 4 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or be willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification upon appointment. Excellent communication, administration and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team and contribute positively and creatively are also essential in this role. We welcome candidates with industry experience, and you will have the opportunity to work towards a teaching qualification. The role will require you to work towards a recognised Level 4 teaching qualification (PGCE/CertEd) or be willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification upon appointment.
