We are offering an opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in HR. If you have some experience working in HR or related areas such as payroll or recruitment within a large and complex organisation, this HR Assistant role will allow you to broaden your skills and knowledge across a wide range of HR activities.
You will be part of the HR operations team, providing administrative support to our Schools and Professional Service Departments. Your work will involve advertising vacancies, producing contract letters, making amendments to contracts, and responding to queries from across the University.
Our new hybrid working approach offers flexibility to support a better work-life balance. We are committed to the ongoing development, support, and progression of our HR team.
Experience
Some experience working in a HR department or related area such as payroll or recruitment within a large and complex organisation is desirable.
About you
You will have a good understanding of office administration procedures and systems, excellent communication and interpersonal skills both oral and written, and the ability to speak confidently and courteously to visitors and telephone callers. Confidentiality and tact are essential attributes for this role.
Qualifications
A CIPD qualification or working towards one is desirable but not essential.
