About the Role
As an HR Casework and Change Consultant at Lambeth Council, you will provide expert advice and guidance on a wide range of HR issues including employee relations and change management. You will support managers, develop strong working relationships, and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.

Your responsibilities will include managing a portfolio of employee relations cases such as disciplinary, grievance, and performance management in an effective and timely manner. You will also lead and support change initiatives across the Council, applying your expert knowledge of change management principles and best practices to ensure successful implementation.

Day-to-day duties involve coaching and supporting line managers to ensure sound management of employee relations cases, using your expertise in employment law to identify and monitor key trends in casework. You will seek opportunities to improve policies, line management practices, and address capability challenges.

Stakeholder engagement is a key part of the role, requiring collaboration with HR colleagues, Trade Union representatives, and other key stakeholders.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience managing complex employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, and performance management. Strong knowledge of employment law and change management principles. Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders including Trade Unions and HR colleagues.

Experience in coaching and supporting line managers to improve people management practices is essential.
