About the Role
Elmbridge Borough Council is a progressive local authority based in Esher, Surrey, with excellent road and rail links to London and the South East. We are seeking a strategic and delivery-focused ICT Infrastructure Manager to lead the maintenance, development, and stability of all IT infrastructure-based systems and services. This high-impact role requires technical and operational leadership at the heart of several exciting infrastructure modernisation programmes.
You will design and lead the technical migration to Azure Cloud, adopting SaaS and PaaS models to improve agility and scalability. You will co-lead the End User Computing migration to Entra ID and Windows 11, delivering a secure, modern digital workplace. Additionally, you will drive the IT architecture landscape review, shaping future-state design and technology roadmaps, and co-manage the evolution of our cybersecurity posture to ensure resilience and compliance across all systems.

Experience
- Proven ability to design and implement strategic network and infrastructure plans that meet capacity, security, and operational needs.
- Strong experience ensuring compliance through robust IT architecture and resilient infrastructure.
- Effective management of supplier and partner relationships to secure the best service and value.
- Technical expertise in installing, maintaining, and supporting core infrastructure components, operating systems, cloud services, and specialised tools.
