Be Yourself – Be an Innovator – Be Leonardo
As an IT Security Officer you’ll be shaping the ongoing information security strategy for Leonardo Hotels. Working alongside the Group IT Manager and a small team of IT specialists, you will focus on policy implementation, user training and auditing. To succeed in this newly-created position you’ll have excellent knowledge of network security, and previous experience of testing DR plans as well as running crisis management simulations with senior managers.
This role does include some infrequent, international travel. We offer hybrid working, with at least two days per week working in the closest hotel or office location to you. We are flexible on base location, and this can be discussed at interview.
Key responsibilities of the IT Security Officer include:
Creating and overseeing a division-wide information security program (we operate 53 hotels and offices across the UK & Ireland)
Developing and maintaining security policies and procedures, using industry standard practices and frameworks such as ISO, NIST, PCI and ITIL
Managing, directing, and coordinating information assurance activities and security-related responsibilities
Developing, implementing, and maintaining security standards and procedures, including information security training programs to boost employee awareness.
Tracking and assessing information and security-related matters
Coaching management on information security and privacy; ensuring security policies and directives are consistently applied.
Proactively identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating potential threats to security, reporting information security breaches and vulnerabilities to management and appropriate authorities as required
Evaluating information security systems, methods, and practices; upgrading technology as required
Supporting the Company's incident response plans
Maintaining network access controls and authentication requirements
Performing assessments on all current and new IT Vendors
If you’re our ideal IT Security Officer, you will:
Have proven experience in a similar information security role
Be creative and bring new ideas to the table
Have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
Understand that everyone’s knowledge of information technology is different! You’ll need to be able to present your ideas to non-technical audiences at times
Some of the perks you could enjoy include:
Discretionary bonus based on your personal and the Company’s performances
Special rates on Leonardo Hotel rooms across the UK & Europe: get planning that city break you’ve been dreaming of!
Free hot lunches
Enhanced pension plan
Talent referral scheme: earn yourself a bonus for recommending a friend to join us
We love to get together and celebrate: we regularly host Thank You Week (your hotel could have anything from ice cream trucks to pizza parties) and every year we get dressed up in our fanciest threads to host our Employee Awards Celebration
Interviews will take place from August onwards
