The purpose of the post is:
To lead the day-to-day effectiveness of service provision via the IT Service Desk
Optimise team efficiency and implement best practices
Set and ensure that Service Desk targets are met

Person Specification
Please study the items in this person specification carefully and when completing your application form try to describe your knowledge, skills and experience in terms of those particular items:
1. BSc Degree in Computer Studies or equivalent
2. Professional IT qualifications relevant to the main duties of the post.
3. Possess a Literacy and Numeracy qualification at Level 2.
4. Minimum 3 years’ as a Senior IT Engineer or similar role, preferably with some management or supervisory experience.
5. Extensive knowledge of Windows Server and desktop operating systems
6. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365, SSO, Exchange, networking, messaging and communications technologies
7. Have good working knowledge of
• Cybersecurity best practices and protocols
• System Monitoring
8. Ability to analyse technical and non-technical data to decipher, prioritise and act upon findings
9. Ability to plan, prioritise and complete own work to firm deadlines, whilst remaining a team player.
10. A drive to achieve and maintain excellent quality standards
11. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders
12. Ability to adapt to organisational change
13. Self-motivation for self-improvement and development
14. Keeping up to date with industry trends, technologies, threats and changes in the technology landscape, and willing to engage with and work in other technologies.
15. Ability to transfer knowledge to other members of the IT team and mentor less experienced staff
16. Have an awareness and understanding of equal opportunities, Prevent and Safeguarding.
