THE ROLE
Job Introduction

Launched in 1985, award-winning EastEnders has become one of the most popular programmes in the BBC One schedule. With a mix of strong characters and gritty storylines, the serial has entertained the nation for almost 40 years, with the Editorial Team at the heart of the drama offscreen!
Main Responsibilities
Working to tight deadlines and in a busy environment, you will assist our team of Production Coordinators, the Head Chaperone and Project Managers supporting them with a wide variety of organisational and administrative duties.
Some of your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to -
Setting up new payments on Smartbook and SAP and process the Eligibility to Work.
Communicating filming schedules to designated groups.
Cross-referencing payments and updating charts & documents.
Paying children, chaperones and parents.
Ensuring daily chaperone licenses are up to date.
Ordering a variety of items for the production office and floor, to include but not limited to, stationary, food and drink.
Ad-hoc purchases for production.
Raising purchase orders.
Distribution of casting advice notes.
Compile weekly parking charts.
Assist the Production Coordinators and Project Managers where needed.
Are you the right candidate?
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following -
This is a very admin focused role, so excellent organisational skills and attention to detail will be key, as well as experience of working across office IT requirements.
You should be able to demonstrate a wide ranging knowledge of television production processes, preferably gained within drama, with an understanding of the roles within the production, and a thorough understanding of the resources required to source and engage personnel.
Being able to work collaboratively is essential for the successful candidate along with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of GDPR regulations due to the significant amount of personal data that you will handle on a day to day basis. You will also require knowledge of Child Licencing, Eligibility to Work and DBS regulations, with experience of creating purchase orders.
A passion and understanding for Drama is always essential, especially for EastEnders.
Package Description
Contract: 12 Month FTC / Attachment (Contracting starting Mid-August)
Band: B
Location: BBC Elstree
Salary: £24,520 - £26,500 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience
The interviews for this role will be taking place during the week of the 5th of August
**Please note that this is a standard Studios Production contract and potentially can involve up to 55 hours per week **
