Full-time fixed-term contract for 12 months.
Salary
£33,596 per annum.

About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Programme Officer to support our Cities team. We’re looking for someone who can help with research, design and organise events, and support our mentoring programmes. Do you have great organisational and research skills? Are you used to working in a team and engaging with external stakeholders? You will report to the Senior Programme Officer.
What you might find yourself doing:
- Supporting the Cities Team members in delivering against Ashden’s UK strategic priorities including zero carbon local electricity systems, rapid acceleration of buildings retrofit, and nature-rich climate-adapted communities.
- Helping to run and facilitate events (in person and online) including for UK national and regional learning programme for councils and the Energy Learning Network, including researching and approaching potential speakers.
- Co-ordinating mentoring programmes and ‘Seeing-is-believing' tours that showcase great climate innovation.
- Helping to write blogs, tools, and resources for towns and cities work.
- Conducting research to support the Cities Team members where required.
- Attending networking events and supporting our alumni network of past Ashden Award winners.
- Supporting the team in delivering parts of the Ashden Awards process, including research, assessing applications, and supporting the judging of applicants.
Experience
No specific experience required, but familiarity with coordinating meetings, events, and projects involving multiple people/teams is desirable.
