IKEA Croydon is looking for a kitchen planner to join our sales Team
WHO YOU ARE
A person with a passion for kitchens who demonstrates meticulous attention to detail and confidently approaches customers with politeness and friendliness. They are enthusiastic about proactively presenting all the services IKEA offers, aiding customers in making informed decisions for a satisfying shopping experience. An open-minded individual with problem-solving skills and experience in sales or customer service is ideal. Additionally, expertise in furniture design/planning and a solid understanding of IT systems is advantageous.
Previous Kitchen Planning experience is preferred.
CONTRACT INFORMATION
Starting salary of £27,100 per annum, this will be based on competence & experience
Contract 39 hours per week, working 5 days a week and alternative weekends
Flexibility on availability to be discussed during interviews
We offer permanent contracts, advanced scheduling & regular weekend off
We operate 7 days a week to meet the shopping needs of our customers, this role will require availability to work during the day, 1 late evening per week, to 9.30pm, and alternative weekends.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING ON THE DAY TO DAY
You provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers
You actively engage with our customers to identify their needs and how to inspire and advise them on the best solutions for their life at home through home furnishings
You are always passionate about the range and home furnishings, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design and actively share this with the customer
You support maximising sales by being proud of your areas of responsibility, ensuring the customer meets an area that is clean, well presented and easy to shop
You will pro-actively interact with customers & provide excellent 1-1 customer service for a sustained period of time during the appointments
Kitchen Planning & Designing for up to 2 hours with an additional 30-60 minutes to provide accurate plans, worktop and installation quotations for the customer.
Support with responding to customer emails, and securing payments both in-store and remotely
Calling your future appointments to secure the bookings and providing the customer with insight into how to measure their room and set expectations
Support the kitchen Co-worker team with opening and closing routines and general housekeeping.
