We work to prevent vulnerable people from becoming homeless. We help formerly homeless people get their lives back on track. About this role… We are looking for a Lead Manager to join the Croydon Reach team. Thames Reach’s Outreach teams operate across London and help those who are rough sleeping to find routes away from the street. The teams respond to referrals and work flexibly to reach London’s most vulnerable. Individuals are assessed to identify their support needs and support plans are created, including work to obtain identification, access health services and refer to other specialist agencies, including those with immigration issues. You will: - Be responsible for directly line managing a team of outreach workers. - Ensure the team are focused on facilitating rapid accommodation outcomes for rough sleepers. - Be responsible for managing the services performance against its contract, monitoring and regularly reporting to funders on performance in meeting it’s targets. - Manage relationships with partner organisations including our commissioners and other local service providers. - Develop best practice and continuously assess barriers to ending rough sleeping. To succeed as the Lead Manager, you will be: - Outcome focused. - A decisive and effective leader that is organised and able to manage the operations of a complex, busy service. - An excellent communicator, able to form and maintain effective working relationships with our stakeholders. - Organised and able to oversee the operations of a busy outreach team. - Experience in directly managing staff, and overseeing the management of others in line with Thames Reach policies.
